At Elite Appliances we specialise in European Washers and Dryers.
By definition that means we also specialise in Front Loading Machines.
The advantages of front loading machines are many and varied but certainly the most important is the reduced water consumption, energy savings and detergent usage. Obviously in SA the ability to wash a full 5 - 6kg load with as little as 40 litres of water and the fact that the reduction in detergent use means less pollution for our waterways can only be attractive for those considering a new washing machine.
Contrary to popular belief we do have machines with reduced wash times (as short as 25 minutes) and we also have machines which can be opened during the cycle. If you are concerned about the bending involved then consider the effects of lifting those towels out of your current top loader! If you wish you can raise the machine off the floor to make access that little bit easier.
All of this and with high spin speeds drying time is reduced whether on the line or in a dryer. Of course, the care of your clothes is far gentler from the action of a top loader. Reduced creasing, no twisted clothes and no fabric shock, you can wash even the most delicate fabrics including your best woollens in complete safety.
You may choose to add a dryer. In a European dryer you can dry the total load in complete confidence. Dryers come with electronic sensors for just that right degree of dryness and most have systems to condense the steam into water which is collected in the dryer so no more paint peeling from the ceiling and water dripping down the wails.
